Custom tunning is now included in this premium 4G6 package when you specify by email (click on "Contact Us") if you are begginer, intermediate or advanced pilot at the time you order your heli. After we customized this hot rod heli in California, it's finely tunned with the latest Power-House Turbo Ace 31714 brushless motor featuring super cool temperatures for extended life span, improved energy effeciency with exceptional torque. When paired with a custom 14T brass pinion, the additional torque on this premium 4G6 offers exceptional head speed and manuverability without hesitation. Out-performing the stock Walkera 4G6 brushless, the Turbo Ace 31714 motor is the latest motor being used by the highest rated 4G6 3D pilot, Manuel Campos, in exceptionally demanding 3D manuevers without stalling or hesistation.
For the first time, you can achieve ultra acceleration and extreme aerobatics in a micro sized helicopter. Manuel Campos has posted a series of 4G6 videos demonstrating the full 3D potential of the 4G6 in the hands of a world class pilot. The most current video features the 4G6 Hot Rod in amazing tic-toc sequence, a 3D manuver previously reserved for larger more dangerous helicopters.
The newest Power-House Turbo Ace 31714 for the 4G6 with more torque and lighter weight than the stock Walkera BL motor.
It is highly recommended that you write down the settings in your radio and save it as a backup after you have tested the heli. Each helicopter radio setting is different and if you ever lose the settings, you may have to pay a service charge to have the radio reprogrammed.
Turbo Brushless Motors:
There are currently 2 turbo brushless motor upgrades over the stock 4G6S/4G6 Walkera brushless motor. Both are outstanding options that will greatly improve the performance of your 4G6S/4G6.
If you did not know already, the 4G6S/4G6 helicopter is basically an advanced version of the very popular but older 4G3 model which utilizes two separate motors to drive the main and tail rotors. A key 4G6S/4G6 improvement is to consolidate the two driving mechanism so that the main motor is now used for both the collective pitched main rotor and the new collective pitch tail rotor. Where as a the 4G3 must wait for the tail motor to speed up or slow down, the 4G6S/4G6 collective pitch tail can respond almost instantenously. But all these advancements on the 4G6S/4G6 require the main motor to drive both the main and tail rotors on a slightly heavier helicopter. Without the extra power a stock motor will over heat in extended or repeated flights and over time the bearing will give out. Also, in high torque manuvers, a motor might stall or cog when it's pushed beyond it's capacity.
Option #1: The Turbo Ace 31714 is a direct upgrade from the stock Walkera Brushless 005 motor. Although both are inrunner brushless motors, the stock motor still uses the smaller 4G3 canister while the 31714 uses a slightly taller canister to house an additional 25-30% more torque. As an plug in, the 31714 is an easy upgrade with big power and reliability. And as an inrunner, the motor mechanism is protected by a fixed canister to prevent damage.
Option #2: The Turbo Ace 81220 (HP08) is an outrunner brushless motor that has been tested and screened for premium performance. The advantage here is a lighter and cooler design that is about 15-20% more torque than the stock brushless motor. As a result it's both quick and nimble, specific qualities suited for 3D pilots. Even non-3D pilot often prefer this motor because the handling is all so smooth... Because it's an outrunner motor, it has to be soldered directly to the ESC (not a plug in) and all wires has to routed away from the turning canister. On the other hand the 81220 runs at much lower temperature than inrunner motors, so it has a much longer life span.
Turbo Ace 31714 Specifications:
The Turbo Ace Power House 31714 inrunner motor. This is a direct drop in plug-and-play inrunner motor for the 4G6. It generates an additional 400 RPM from stock motor both running at 100% throttle. It is 3mm taller than stock, height is at 25mm verses stock at 22mm. When flying with stock radio setup, no adjustment is needed. Throttle curve can be increased to 100% and the motor still runs much cooler than Walkera stock inrunner motor. This motor totally eliminates the motor burn out problem found on the stock 4G6 and its does not require soldering like the outrunners. The motor needs the stock 10A Walkera ESC to properly fuel its amperage requirement, XP7A-2 rated at 7A will not be adequate to properly power this motor. The motor runs extremely efficient with lower temperature and achieve the same flight time as the Walkera stock. It does not need a direct soldered connection from the motor to the Walkera ESC, just tighten the screws and plug it in and you are ready for the extreme maneuvers of your time.
Turbo Ace motors run a little cooler with 4#3B, CB100 ESC which have more suitable timing for the high performance motors. Thou not required, it is an option to swap your CB100/4#3B ESC with your 4#6/4G6 ESC if you own one.
Motor type: Inrunner
Operating temperature: Normal flight 120 degrees vs. 130 degrees on stock Walkera BL motor. Full 3D flight 129 degrees vs. over 150 degrees for stock Walkera motor. Turbo Ace and other high performance motors run the coolest with 4#3B, CB100 ESC which have more suitable timing. It is not a bad idea to swap your CB100/4#3B ESC with your 4#6/4G6 ESC to obtain even better result with this motor.
