The Walkera Lama3, a seemingly over-night sensation, is actually years in the making. This collective pitch co-axial format is the first of its kind to offer powerful banking ability to resist moderate breezes. Conceptually, this is an ideal platform for numerous application because it's such an easy and forgiving outdoor helicopter to learn. When the first shipment of Lama3 arrive in California, we never thought it was going to take another 3 weeks before we can deliver the world's first collective co-axial. 

     More often than not, break-through technology is often accompanied by tough challenges and unexpected obstacles. Due to the possibility of blade strikes, servos travels were reduced on stock Walkera Lama3. However, this temporary solution will also compromise the power and reponsiveness of a collective pitch desgin. Working with local Walkera specialists, Wow Hobbies was evetually able to come up with a permanent and outstanding solution.

     The upgraded version, appropriately named Walkera Lama3 Wow3, features an extended main shaft and matching sleeve that increases the distance between the two sets of counter rotating blades. The extra distance allows unimpeded CP performance without fear of blade strike. The newly upgraded shaft and sleeve, made from the toughest and stiffest anodized steel that is extremely resistant to heat, friction and bending, can easily outlast several stock shafts.

     Initially, it was assumed that the slightly taller Walkera Lama3 Wow3 will not fit in the original Lama3 box and that the upgraded Lama3 Wow3 will have to be shipped as a "Lama3 & upgrade kit". But after careful consideration we were able to fit the fully assembled Wow3 version perfectly in the orginal box and provide an outer shipping box to further cushion the head mechanism. So yes, your Lama3 Wow3 will come fully assembled and tested with all the upgrades fully integrated and ready to fly.

     Each Lama3 Wow3 is fully integraded then test flown in California before it's shipped to you. Integration has just started and we are expecting to make the initial shipment before the week ends. However, there are about three times the amount of orders than what's available. We will begin notifying buyers by email - according to their place on the waiting list. Please be patient because upgrade integration for initial shipment will be completed and spread out into several days. As additional Lama3 air shipments will arrive soon - we expect everyone on the waiting list will have the oppertunity to finally get their Lama3 without further delay.
