Walkera CB100 Features
A clever derivative of the legendary 4#3B single rotor/axial micro, the Walkera CB100 encompasses numerous cutting edge technologies to improve stability and durability. Over the past year, many 4#3 based architecture have focused on a variety of modifications and upgrades. The 4#3Q provided a scaled canopy and a 5in1 that reduced weight for increased responsiveness while the 4#3C, a hybrid from Wow, combines many features of the 4#3B, the 4#3Q and the 4G3. Although all these advances provided increased performance, novice pilots still find it hard to fly single axial micros. The new Walkera CB100 combines the superior quality and power of a metal head micro with the innovative stability of the Eflite Blade MSR. The CB100 is one of the first single-rotor helicopters to achieve beginner friendly stability while maintaining the acceleration, torque, agility and maneuverability of a single axial micro.
Utilizing a 45 degree stabilizer bar on a single axial design to resist any intrinsic or external variation to its operating axis of rotation, the Walkera CB100 is the only helicopter to exceed the new and popular MSR and the SRB, the two closest competing models in the category, in stability for both indoor and outdoor flight tests. Earlier dual axial helicopters are also easy to operate for beginners but lacked the responsiveness and banking ability of single axial to overcome external forces such as low breezes. While single axial micros are more agile, they are often inherently less stable. Combining the best of both worlds, the Walkera CB100 is truly a beginner friendly helicopter that has enough zap to satisfied even veteran pilots.
Made to last, both CB100 main and tail motors are brushless with corresponding ESC. Although Walkera has included a high powered durable brushless main motor, the tail motor is a weaker 2g brushless without bearings. Bearings extend the life of motors by reducing friction and resulting heat. To improve tail authority and durability of your CB100, we highly recommend that you consider the 2.9g tail option with double bearings when purchasing the CB100.
Our powerful 2.9g out-runner brushless motor is mounted with an exclusive removable clamp that secures the motor to the lightest weight carbon tail holder/stand available in the market today. 2.9g motors from other vendor kits are glued on which is difficult to service/repair and can easily pop off during a minor crash that often causes irreversible motor wires damage. We recommend that due to the much higher performance of the 2.9g motor that you upgrade 2g to a 2.9g in the initial purchase. The upgrade process not only involves changing out the tail motor holder/stand in addition to the motor but also requires precise balancing of the complete head assembly due to its much higher torque 2.9g motor.
