Walkera 4#3B
Walkera 4#3B Double Brushless Helicopter
With the 4#3B helicopter, Walkera has set the standard on micro RC helicopters. The most recent 4#3B upgrades now include a variety of brushless upgrades that far outperform all its competition in the single rotor fixed pitch category including a list of copy cats and rebrands. In this fast paced hobby, only the most aggresive manufacturer can stay in the the forefront by incorporating new innovations in electronics, motors and batteries. Before considering the 4#3B Metal Head Brushless Helicopter you might also want to look at the new Walkera CB100 which is a cousin of the 4#3B but with an additional stabilizing bar. In either case you can not go wrong with Walkera quality and precision. While other helicopters may claim to have similar features, many brands are flawed with design problems, durability issues and a total lack of "after sales" support. In this industry only the best models are fully stocked with parts for maintenance and upgrades for improved performance.
There are now several upgrades to consider when purchasing a 4#3B. The main motor options include the Walkera Brush Main motor, the Walkera Brushless Main motor and the Turbo Ace Brushless 91416 motor (100% more pay load or 31% more power). The tail motor options include the Walkera Brush Tail Motor, the Walkera 2g Brushless Motor (no bearings) and the 2.9g Turbo Ace 29700 Brushless Tail Motor with double bearings (50% more pay load & durability).
If a TX is included with a 4#3B package, the options are the WK-2401 (Helimax Novus HMXJ2021) or the Programmable WK-2801. All 4#3B helicopter from Wow Hobbies include precision CNC metal rotor head upgrades.
All brush motors have shorter life spans due the brushes wearing out. Inherently, micro brush motors on the 4#3B brush helicopters & the rebranded Novus FP helicopters have a limited life span of approximately 20 to 30 battery cycles. To upgrade to brushless later can be expensive/time consuming so it will be wise to consider purchasing a brushless 4#3B helicopter from the very start. Helimax & Novus are registered trademarks of Great Planes Model Manufacturing Company.

It's time to retire those old "AA" batteries. This is the smartest new solution to charge up your Walkera transmitter radio. No more guess work on 8 "AA" batteries with iffy connections in a tray. Everything is consolidated into one simple reliable unit.

Micro sized parts and spacing can't be acurately measured by a ruler. You need the precision of a digital caliper for every thing from mounting pinions to measuring servo links. Having the right tools is the first step to a successful project.
