Buyers beware ! The recent batch of HP08 was returned by Wow back to the factory due to under-spec. Please rest assure that none of these motors were shipped to our customers since we QA them before entering them into our inventory system. This batch of motors will not perform hard-core 3D and can only handle minor rolls. The HP08-2 has been replaced by the HP07-2 with the new stator design. HP07-2 is not only more powerful running at hihger kv but also more efficient with about one extra minute of flight time. Turbo Ace motors are Quality-Assured when we receive them. We are equipped with special motor testing instruments to assure you the best performance possible for your heli. We will not ship you motors that does not meet our specifications. Make sure that outrunner motor wires are soldered directly to the ESC for consistent and reliable performance.
 
Newest version custom to Wow Hobbies' specifications: Not all HP08 are created equal ! The powerful thermo-cool light weight 81220 is a version of the HP-08 but custom to Wow Hobbies' specifications. Make sure that outrunner motor wires are soldered directly to the ESC for consistent and reliable performance. This motor is not for the 4#6. For the fixed pitch 4#6 motor go to the 4#6 parts category. Pinion is installed and balanced.
 
For a precise balance of the head when operating with this high torque motor, we recommend the optional Stay-True CNC rotor head.

Note that the throttle curves need to be set to 100% for the 81220 motor to achieve its optimum performance. Caution, the 100% throttle curve settings are suitable for the 81220 motor which runs at low temperature but they are not suitable for Walkera stock motor which can easily be damaged running at a much higher temperature. The following settings used below are for expert pilots only. If you are a beginner/intermediate pilot, these settings will be too sensitive and may need to be adjusted per your flying requirement.

Important Instruction:  The Turbo Ace 81220 (HP08-2) is optimized when the 3 wires from the motor are soldered directly to the Walkera main ESC. By doing so, the motor will run stronger, less likely to cog and will not stall during startup. Directly soldering the wires to the ESC will result in shorter wires and no contact points. This type of installation is a little inconvenient for maintenance since you can not unplug the motor as easily but it reduces the resistance of the current from the ESC to the motor allowing the motor to operate at its optimum state. If the motor runs in a reverse direction, just unsolder any 2 wires, switch them and solder them back to the ESC. Please remember to discard the wires and the connector from the ESC. Thou this motor is the same as the 81220-4G6, the depth of the pinion is different, it has been adjusted to fit the 4G3. If you have a 4G6, you need to order the 81220-4G6 with the proper pinion depth for the 4G6. Turbo Ace and other outrunner motors starts better with 4#3B, CB100 ESC which have more suitable timing for the outrunners. If you own a CB100 or 4#3B, it is not a bad idea to swap your CB100/4#3B ESC with your 4#6/4G6 ESC. If you own a programmable radio WK2801, please make sure your throttle curve for the stunt mod is set to 100%, 100%, 100% all the way accross for ultimate performance. Use this setting for all high performance Turbo Ace outrunners, do not use this setting for the stock Walkera motor as it will overheat and burn out.

The newest Thermo cool Turbo Ace 81220 (HP08-2 With 20T Pinion) outrunner brushless motor for the Walkera 4G6 with more torque and lighter weight than the stock Walkera BL motor.  Outrunner motors have inherantly higher mass moments of inertia and linear momentum that offers extra punch and prevents stalls.  Like a car with more horse power the 81220 enables faster acceleration.  Like a world class gymnast, a lighter aircraft is also more nimble and responsive.  You can say linear momenutum is beneficial inside the motor but not in your over all flight mass. 
Operating at 120 degrees, the 81220 temperature is 20 degrees cooler than 4G6 stock brushless motor.  Premature bearing failure are often associated with exccesive heat and ineffecient use of battery power.  The 81220 provides exceptional lifespan and extended flight time.  There is no longer any fear that your motor will burn out because you didn't wait long enough for it to cool off between flights.
