The Heli-max Novus CX, FP & CP are actually rebranded Walkera Lama2, 4#3B & 4G3 helicopters from serveral months ago. Many current Walkera helicopters comes standard with multiple advanced and durable upgrades. To upgrade the Novus CX, FP & CP, you will need to purchase an additional 6 to 10 parts ($50 to $150) per heli plus tools and be ready to spend days on purchasing, assemblying and testing.

Check out for yourself some of the most popular independent forums on both Walkera and Novus. By far, the lower priced Walkera helis are smarter buys with more advanced features and upgrades than the Novus. Look for BRUSHLESS (BL), DOUBLE BRUSHLESS, TURBO and/or METAL in the product title when purchasing a Walkera so you don't end up with an older Walkera heli with Novus features.
Learning to fix your own helicopter will save you lots of time, money and headaches. The majority of services are due to pilot related crashes and thus will not be covered under a manufacturer's warranty. The typical fix requires 10 minutes to change out a couple of $5 parts which would make it impratical for you to sent the whole heli to the factory anyhow. Although Walkera and Novus uses different part numbers, they share the same parts, transmitters and upgrades (Lama2-1 = CX, 4#3B = FP, 4G3 = CP) giving you more options to purchase parts at LHS or online.
