This ESC can be converted to 1 cell application however there is no technical support, warranty, guarantee or any type of service when you make this experimental conversion from 2 cell to 1 cell. "If you're putting a resistor in parallel with R3 then you want 3K or as close to it as you can get. If you want to remove R3 and replace it then you want a 1.85K resistor. Either of these options will accomplish the same thing - the ESC will detect a 1S pack as 2S so it will arm and use a 1S low voltage cutoff.
