This is a fast charger, especially useful for high capacity battery. It greatly reduces the charging time by 4 hours for a 5000mAh battery compare to using a 1A charger. Total charge time is less than one hour for a 5,000mah battery charged at 5A as compare to 5 hours charge time with an 1A charger.

Stock CopterX charger only comes with charging wires but does not include these Deans & JST connector cable which Wow Hobbies provides as extras so this unit is now plug and play. The CopterX CX-B601 charger from factory are not plug and play without these connectors since the original CopterX B601 package does not come one so you will not be able to charge any battery without purchasing and soldering the connector on yourself- See bottom of photo what are included and compare carefully when you shop. We also include power supply ($19 value) normally not included with charger. The power supply allows charging from 110v to 240v wall plug. You can also use the charger without the power supply on a 12v car battery.

Unlike the outdated older B6 charger, the B601 features the new online upgradable capability for your future charging expansion. This charger has the newest electronic design which runs extremely cool, so cool that it does not even need an internal cooling fan. This new fan-less design makes it one of the quietest charger in the market.

This inteligent B601 charger keeps your battery in good condition for maximum battery cycles by setting your own charge current. The B601 charger will charge a Walkera 1 cell battery but you would need to purchase a adapter connector. Unlike the Walkera wall charger which charges a 600mAh battery at 1 amp, the B601 is able to be set to charge at the proper current therefore preserving the life cycle of the battery. If you need to charge a 2 cell battery with JST connector, you can make an adapter as follows:

make sure the 2 wires of the JST are soldered to the two pins of the female Deans for the correct polarity otherwise you will short out the charger/battery.

SIMPLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTION ONLY FROM WOW HOBBIES

The CopterX B601 is simple to operate, just make sure the 2 battery cables are both plugged into the charger. The battery cable with the white balancing plug should be plugged into the side of the charger and the battery power cable with the red Deans connector should be plugged into the Wow Hobbies installed 2-wired red Deans cable which must connected to the the 2 female ports of the charger. This will become very clear to you once you put all the cables supplied by us in front of you. If you mistakenly only plugged in the balancing lead you will see a message "BATT CONNECT ERR". Next step, select the battery type (NiCd/NiMh/Li-Po/Li-ion/Li-Fe/Pb), amperage and the charging voltage (number of cells for Lipos) then press and hold ENTER to initia pre-charge battery check, after the charger finishs the final check just press ENTER again to start charging. To set the charge rate, a 500mAh battery should be charged at no more than 0.5A, 1000mAh battery no more than 1A, 2000mAh battery no more than 2A. The formular for the charge rate must be no more than 1A per 1,000mAh of battery capacity.

Automatic Charging Current Limit: You can set up the upper limit of the charging current when charging your Ni-Cd or Ni-MH battery; it is useful for the Ni-MH battery of low impedance and capacity in the 'AUTO' charging mode

Capacity Limit: The charging capacity is always calculated as the charging current multiplied by time. If the charging capacity exceeds the limit, the process will be terminated automatically when you set the maximum value

Temperature Threshold*: The battery's internal chemical reaction will cause the temperature of the battery to rise. If the temperature limit is reached, the process will be terminated. *This function is available by connecting optional temperature probe, which is not included in our package

Processing Time Limit: You can also limit the maximum process time to avoid any possible defects

Input Power Monitoring: To protect the car battery used as DC input power from being damaged, its voltage keeps being monitored. If it drops below the lower limit, the process will be ended automatically

Data Store / Load: The maximum five batteries's data can be stored for user's convenience. You can keep the data pertaining to program setting of the battery of continuous charging or discharging. Users can call out these data at any time without any special program setting
