16T Brass Pinion: Fits Feigao, Walkera & Heli-Max BL, 4.5g & 6g Outrunner Motor Shafts for 4#3/B/Q/4G3/4G6/CB100 & Novus 125 CP/FP

Price: $3.95
Item Number: MP-16T-W for Walkera Shaft
Manufacturer Part No: MAP3.95
Walkera has chosen to install a 12T pinion on their 4G3 motors because of startup problem. When a 16T pinion is installed on the Walkera BL motor, it often cogs and most of the time will require hand cranking to start. The 12T stock pinion is unable to provide the high torque required on 3D flight. Turbo Ace 91416 has been designed to overcome all these problems. It provides over 100% more lifting power with added thrust and 16T pinion. See video on how the Turbo Ace 91416 performs:

The pinion hole size measurement is extremely critical with only .01mm tolerance allowed to fit on a motor shaft. We strongely recommend that all manufacturers test the pinion on all their motors as different brand of micro motor's shaft may vary. This pinion has actually been mounted on the 1.5mm shaft of the Walkera BL main motor, Feigao 12mmx20mm main motor, Losi 10,250kv, 4.5g and 6g outrunner motors so we know you will have a perfect fit. The pinion should also fit other motors with 1.5mm shaft which we have not tested. As an industry standard, the actual shaft size of a 1.5mm motor shaft is actually 1.42mm, similar to a 2x4 wood stud which is only 1-1/2 x 3-1/2. The pinion hole size needs to be .02mm smaller so it should be 1.40mm exactly to fit snuggly. The pitch of this pinion gear is 0.25 modul which matches the Walkera 4#3A, 4#3B, 4#3Q, 4G3 and Novus FP/CP main gears.

* For you convenience, some of our pinions may be rimmed for easier installation. Watch for a pair of black dot markings on one side of the pinion with the slightly larger hole.  This marked side should face the motor when your push the pinion on to the motor shaft. A pinion pusher tool is required to make this installation other wise you may risk damaging both the motor and the pinion. Prior to pinion installation, applying a thin film of liquid glue on the motor shaft not only help to set and secure the pinion but also act as a lubricant during installation. The motor shaft is usually held in place with small clips. As one side of the pionion pusher tool pushes the pinion from one end of the motor shaft, the other side of the pinion pusher tool will prevent the motor shaft's other end from breaking through the motor (make sure the motor is aligned properly in the pinion pusher to prevent disaster). As you are pushing the pinion on to the motor shaft, please remember that too much force exerted on the motor shaft may bent it inversibly. So if you sense that the pinion is not progressing on the shaft and the shaft is flexing laterally, stop immediately.  Realign the shaft so it is perpendicular to both sides of the pusher mechanism before proceeding. Repeatly remove the motor (with the pinion on it) from the pusher tool as the pinion is incrementally pushed further and further on to the shaft to make sure the pinion is absolutely perpendicular to the shaft. Also make measurements to avoid pushing the pinion too far into the motor shaft in which case you may also need a pinion puller tool. Allow about an hour for the glue to set.
